{"id":1606,"date":"2026-02-02T20:28:30","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T20:28:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.soc.uoa.gr\/?page_id=1606"},"modified":"2026-02-02T20:29:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T20:29:00","slug":"code-of-ethics-and-good-practice","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.soc.uoa.gr\/en\/kodikas-deontologias-kai-kalis-praktikis\/","title":{"rendered":"Code of Ethics and Good Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"col-sm-9\">\n<p class=\"page_category_title\">For every large organization, and even more so for a Higher Education Institution that has been operating continuously since 1837, Academic Ethics, above and before all else, is the essence of daily practice and is not merely exhausted in formalities and regulations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-9 col-sm-8 single_page\">\n<div class=\"ce-textpic ce-center ce-above\">\n<div class=\"ce-bodytext\">\n<p>These are the strong bonds that unite the members of our university community and constitute the \u00abUniversitas.\u00bb These bonds are based on freedom of speech and the exchange of ideas, respect for the Other, human dignity, the principle of the majority, and respect for the minority. These unbreakable principles, together with all fundamental human rights, form the framework within which the policy of Academic Ethics must develop and operate. At the University of Athens, the primary concern of the Rector's Authorities is the faithful adherence to these timeless values.
