{"id":77,"date":"2025-05-12T15:02:06","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T15:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.soc.uoa.gr\/proptychiakes-spoudes\/odigos-protoeton\/ilektroniki-ypiresia-diacheirisis-syngrammaton-evdoxos\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T15:13:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T15:13:45","slug":"electronic-textbooks-management-service-eudoxus","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.soc.uoa.gr\/en\/proptychiakes-spoudes\/odigos-protoeton\/ilektroniki-ypiresia-diacheirisis-syngrammaton-evdoxos\/","title":{"rendered":"Electronic Textbooks Management Service (EUDOXOS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"bde-section-77-100 bde-section\">\n  \n  \n\t\n\n\n\n<div class=\"section-container\"><div class=\"bde-rich-text-77-101 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<h2 data-start=\"107\" data-end=\"139\">What is the EUDOXUS system?;<\/h2><p data-start=\"141\" data-end=\"362\">The EUDOXUS system is an innovative service of the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs for the direct and comprehensive provision of textbooks to students of Universities and TEIs nationwide.<\/p><p data-start=\"364\" data-end=\"421\">The process is fully automated and offers:<\/p><ul data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"688\"><li data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"499\"><p data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"499\">Full information to students regarding the provided textbooks in each course<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"546\"><p data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"546\">Option for immediate collection of the textbooks<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"688\"><p data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"688\">Effective mechanisms for the rapid compensation of publishers and for preventing the abusive exploitation of public funds.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"922\">The address of the service is <a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/eudoxus.gr\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"760\">http:\/\/eudoxus.gr<\/a> and access to it is possible using the credentials (username, password) obtained upon registration in the Secretariat management system.<\/p><p data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"922\">\u00a0<\/p><h2 data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"966\">Procedure and operation phases<\/h2><ul data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"2325\"><li data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1296\"><p data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"1296\">Each Publisher initially undergoes a certification process in order to gain access to the system. Then, within the specified timeframe set by the Ministry of Education, they can register and continuously update the information of their Textbooks in the Central Database (CDB).<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1478\"><p data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1478\">The instructors of the Departments have access to the Central Textbooks Database and can choose which Textbooks to propose for their course or thematic units.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1732\"><p data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1732\">The textbooks\/series of textbooks (for H.O.U. students) approved by the competent academic bodies are registered by the Secretariat of each Department in the Central Database (CDB), in correspondence with the courses\/thematic units of the Study Program.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"2065\"><p data-start=\"1735\" data-end=\"2065\">The student logs in to a central webpage of the Central Information System (CIS) where their authentication takes place (via Shibboleth).
