We congratulate and welcome the first-year undergraduate students of the academic year 2026-2027 to the Department of Sociology of the School of Economics and Political Sciences of the NKUA.
All successful students of the 2026-2027 academic year national examinations of the Department of Sociology who have completed their electronic registration on the platform of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs are requested to undergo identity verification and complete their registration in the Department of Sociology, from 09/14/2026 to 09/22/2026 via email address https://eprotocol.uoa.gr to fill out the Application 10. Submission of First-Year Students' Documents and to submit attached all the documents mentioned below.
Instructions for completing Application 10. Submission of First-Year Students' Supporting Documents
You are going to the website https://eprotocol.uoa.gr/login
You select Login with your personal Taxisnet credentials, you will be directed to the NKUA electronic request submission service and you will select Applications, Applications to the Department Secretariats and you select Application 10. Submission of First-Year Student Supporting Documents.
a. Create new application, TO (Sender): ‘Department of Sociology’.
B. Attached documents: You will attach copies of all required supporting documents. After completing the process, you will click Submit. Your application will in any case receive a protocol number through an internal procedure. CAUTION: they must be EXCLUSIVELY in pdf format and NOT photos from mobile devices in order to be clearly legible.
Required documents to be attached to your application:
1) The printed and signed registration application from the platform of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports. https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr
2) Clear photocopy of police ID card (both sides) or passport (if they do not have a Greek ID)
3) Birth certificate (ONLY males in order for their details to be correctly filled out for a military service certificate)
4) Certificate of registration in the Municipal Rolls of the Municipality of the Prefectures of Xanthi, Rodopi, or Evros, or of transfer to another municipality in these Prefectures (ONLY for cases of Greeks of the Muslim minority of Thrace
5) Recent passport-style photograph
6) Statutory declaration by the successful candidate and applicant for registration, which is issued via the website

Successful candidates in category 10% (no retest required)
Successful candidates in category 10% from 2025 and 2024 (no new exam in 2026):
they follow the same procedure as mentioned above (electronic registration and submission of all the above documents attached to the Application 10. (Submission of First-Year Student Supporting Documents) to the Sociology Department Secretariat via e-protocol). In addition, successful applicants in category 10% must also attach a Certificate of Withdrawal for those who were previously enrolled in another School or Department of Higher Education. ONLY in the event that it was not declared electronically on the Ministry of Education's platform that they are enrolled in another School or Department of Higher Education.
In case the prospective student cannot submit the application via eprotocol.uoa.gr, they can submit in person or via a lawfully authorized person through Gov.gr, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 11:00 to 13:00 within the dates 09/14/2026 – 09/22/2026, in Secretariat of the Department of Sociology, N.K.U.A., Theory Building, 57 Solonos, ATHENS, Mezzanine.
Please note that once the details are checked and your registration in the Department of Sociology is completed, it will be sent electronically to your declared e-mail, Certificate of Enrollment from the Secretariat.
WARNING: When the details of the registered students are sent to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, a mass dispatch will take place SMS from the University's Computerization Department, to your registered mobile phones. With SMS will students be informed about the Registration Number their.
