The laboratory aims to promote cutting-edge research with positive social and economic impact. The laboratory's goal is to be a space for applied sociology, for the development of both theoretical and empirical approaches through an open dialogue among different perspectives on the evolution of the scientific fields of consumption, entrepreneurship, and innovation, both in international and local contexts. In today's era, transformations include business practices, widening inequalities, geopolitical conflicts, pandemics, and everyday practices.
The laboratory emphasizes theoretical approaches and empirical research in relation to entrepreneurship, industry, SMEs, startups, consumer behavior and market research, sustainability, creativity, and new technologies. Within the framework of a fluid and demanding business environment, the design, implementation, and dissemination of scientific research and its results are of particular importance for strengthening individuals, communities, and organizations, so that they can respond to contemporary economic, social, and environmental challenges.
The lab's mission is to co-create value within an entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem that is oriented towards society's needs for sustainability and inclusion. The lab aims to further develop the educational work of the Sociology department, as well as collaborations with research centers, labs, and institutes both in Greece and abroad that share common scientific and research goals.
