Introduction to the Department of Sociology
Admission to the Sociology Department is through the Panhellenic Exams system.
First-Year Student Registration Process
The invitation and registration of new students takes place electronics within a deadline set annually by decision of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (www.minedu.gov.gr).
Registration is done through the Ministry's official application, without requiring direct presence at the Department.
The registration application is submitted at the electronic address: https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr
For entry, the candidate's 8-digit examination code and the same password used for the Digital Application Form are required.
Submission of Supporting Documents to the Secretariat
After electronic registration, students should report to the Department Secretariat on dates specified in a relevant announcement on the Department's website, presenting the following documents:
Printed and signed application for registration from the Ministry's electronic platform.
Photocopy of police ID (both sides) or passport (if they do not have a Greek ID).
Birth certificatemales only (for filling in details for military service).
Certificate of registration in the municipal registry of the municipalities of Xanthi, Rodopi, Evros, or transfer to another municipality (Only for Greeks of the Muslim minority).
A recent passport-style photo.
Confirmation of deregistration for those enrolled in another Higher Education School/Department, only if not declared electronically in the Ministry's application.
Application for Statement of Details to the Department, completed (attached).
Η identification process This is required in order to complete the registration process and receive access codes for the services of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Registration for EKPA's E-Services
Registration for the e-services of EKPA is mandatory for all students.

Through the electronic services, students can carry out:
Course registration every six months
Show ratings and access to the curriculum
