The STRIDE program will provide a new, comprehensive, and comparative knowledge base on effective educational reforms, policy implementation initiatives, and interventions aimed at reducing inequalities in education, training, and learning outcomes in Europe.

This objective will be achieved through analyses of educational reforms at the national and regional levels, analyses of large-scale educational assessment data, as well as long-term data on the causal relationship between inequalities and educational or other policies in relation to student achievement.

The STRIDE program aims to carefully examine a range of cross-sectoral variables, such as socioeconomic background, gender, disabilities and abilities, migration, language, and early childhood education and care, which may influence learning outcomes in different ways across different contexts.

Through the participation of national and European stakeholders, the STRIDE program will develop methodological and evaluation tools to facilitate the formulation and adoption of appropriate policies, offering stakeholders a «toolkit» of enhanced knowledge regarding the factors that shape educational outcomes over time. Furthermore, it will highlight the value of collecting long-term data for the formulation of new policies, with the aim of reducing educational inequalities, in the short, medium, and long term.

This project is co-funded by the European Union (grant agreement No. 101132339) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) (grant agreement No. 10108849).
