(2) LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to:
- approach and analyze the concepts of Social Geography,
- they study space as a socially produced and politically shaped field.
- they analyze the relationship between space, society, power, inequalities, culture, and economy, as well as the spatial dimensions of social phenomena such as urbanization, migration, poverty, exclusion, and the environmental crisis.

(3) COURSE CONTENT
Social Geography
The course introduces the basic theories, concepts, and methodological approaches of Social Geography, focusing on the study of space as a socially produced and politically shaped field. It analyzes the relationship between space, society, power, inequalities, culture, and the economy, as well as the spatial dimensions of social phenomena such as urbanization, migration, poverty, exclusion, and the environmental crisis.
The course combines theoretical approaches with empirical examples from Greece and the international environment, emphasizing the critical understanding of spatial social inequalities.
